Beaded Mermaid Doll
The Harlequin Beading Circle and staff watched Jeanne's amazing mermaid emerge over the course of about seven months.
The face is appliqué with size 15 Charlotte seed beads and SoNo thread. Seashells, sequins, nautical beads and more from Jeanne's collection adorn her. An unexpected and super-clever combination of aquamarine bubble wrap and matching tulle make up her fin tail. Her hair and body are fabric, and she's stuffed with ordinary cotton balls.
This special beaded mermaid is a gift for Jeanne's niece, who loves and collects mermaids.

Cleopatra Copper Bracelet
OOAK Dyed Turquoise Jasper Cleopatra Copper Bracelet. A beautiful 30 x 25mm oval dyed turquoise jasper focal bead framed by copper plated wings forms the centerpiece of this beautiful bracelet. Aquamarine color faceted Czech firepolish beads with copper plated bead caps are paired with warm brown 6mm bicone czech beads to create a winning combination.

This fan combines wild turkey feathers and grouse trim feathers with a peyote stitch handle worked with Czech charlottes.

Purple Passion Necklace
By Frieda DouglasThis is an ancient Chinese method of embroidery with beads. Most books about this method are written in Russian or Italian, so Frieda is mostly self-taught. The necklace features sugilite jasper, amethyst, Swarovski, Czech glass and seed beads.

Sculpted Pyrite and Hessonite Gemstones
This necklace is for the woman who loves to be draped in gemstones. Created out of Pyrite and Hessonite (a type of Garnet), I wire wrapped and wire bound sterling silver wire to form a one of a kind sculpted gemstone necklace. The combination of raw Pyrite pieces and faceted Hessonite creates a perfect balance of raw, untamed beauty. For a rustic and complimentary look, I oxidized the sterling silver. For the best security, I used a sterling silver lobster clasp and soldered loop for the findings. The completed length is 16 1/2" long, with the sculpted Hessonite centerpiece measuring 2 3/4" wide.
Seasons of the Emerald Valley
This piece represents the four seasons in the Emerald Valley, the beautiful earth we live on and the wonderful intricate web of life. Each section represents one of the seasons with more or less clouds, sun, rain, rainbows, Salmon spawning, the life of the river and much more. This piece was made with beads from the Harlequin March bead soup challenge.

This traditional rosette is painstakingly done with teeny tiny antique Italian seed beads and a double needle method. The detail that can be achieved with these micro seed beads and this technique is amazing. Michele Rose 1997
Stonescape Necklace
Primarily size #6 and #8 seed beads were used for this bead embroidered necklace. The embroidery was done in pavé stitch on suede cloth, and the border was completed with #6 seed beads. Working off and on, this free-form necklace took about four months to complete.The centerpiece is made of mineral crystals surrounded by lavender, green and grey beads embroidered with pavé stitch, changing to hematite and spreading to bilateral swirls of purple, lavender and white #8 beads.Below the centerpiece are green, lavender and purple seed beads that fall into lavender crystal squares at the point. The bottom of the piece is finished in silver, lavender, green and white #8 seed beads, terminating in green and purple crystals.Sauny can be contacted through Harlequin Beads & Jewelry.
